About

Hello, my name is Chris Tracey. That's me in the picture on the right. I've recently reached three score and ten and still live in Belfast, Northern Ireland where I am married and a parent to both a grown up daughter and a son. Back in 2011, I retired and looked forward to plenty of time with books, music and travel. I have done a bit of that along with some freelance consultancy work with a range of organisations. It was great to share learnings (and unlearnings!) gained from over thirty years working in educational organisations and in various voluntary groups.

I have a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Education. Lifelong Learning and Developing Effectiveness are among my core values. I have a keen interest in neuro-linguistic programming (NLP). Stay a while on this site and you'll find plenty of musings about improving and achieving potential. I think it is really about education. See if you agree!

You are bound to find the odd reference to France and things French.  Oui! - that's another value - I am a total Francophile. You should be able to spot a link in the sidebar to another of my blogs over at www.francofiled.org  You can imagine then how very proud I was, when in 2008 I was named Chevalier dans l'Ordre des Palmes Académiques by the French Minister of Education.  Oh look, there's that education thing going on again...
